LAHORE: The workers of PMLN and PTI have come face-to-face with PTI workers turning the road into the venue of workers convention after the Marquee hall booked for the convention getting closed in Township area here.
The PMLN workers threw PTI’s flags and banners when party workers and leaders started arriving for the workers convention. The PTI workers faced off the PMLN workers and loud slogans were shouted by both the sides.
The police was called in when the situation got tensed while the owner of the Marquee hall locked the premises and disappeared. PTI workers alleged that the owner was threatened to close the Hall saying that he was receiving threats and could not rent the Hall to PTI workers.
Meanwhile, PTI workers have turned the road into the venue of the convention by putting chairs on the road.
PTI leaders said that PMLN has resorted to cheap tricks and that the convention will be held at all cost.
