MUZAFFARABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) nominees Anwar-ul-Haq and Riaz Gujjar on Tuesday has become Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly.
During the session, Anwar-ul-Haq grabbed 32 votes and defeated opposition parties’ Faisal Rathore.
On the other hand, PTI’s Chaudhry Riaz Gujjar got 32 votes for Deputy Speaker while Nisaran Abbasi of PML-N got 15 votes.
Earlier in the day, outgoing speaker Shah Ghulam Qadir administered the oath to the newly-elected members of AJK Legislative Assembly.
