QUETTA: Fashion designer Khadija Shah, arrested by Quetta police in connection with a PTI’s May 9 violent attacks was acquitted by an anti – terrorism court (ATC)
The release comes after she completed a 6-day remand, with authorities citing a lack of evidence in the case.
Khadija Shah, who was on police remand for her alleged role in the May 9 incidents, was transferred from Lahore to Quetta on transit remand on December 12.
Shah was particularly accused of involvement in the attack on military installations, specifically the Jinnah House where Corp Commander Lahore resided.
Shah is the daughter of Salman Shah, a former federal minister and Punjab cabinet member. She was known for her staunch support for Khan’s political party and was widely praised among PTI circles.
Police officials have clarified that Khadija Shah’s release was based on insufficient evidence linking her to the alleged criminal activities on May 9.
