Lahore: Punjab cabinet on Tuesday approved three mega projects including Apni Chhat Apna Ghar, the Chief Minister Green Tractor program and the Children’s Heart Surgery Program.
The 15th meeting of the provincial cabinet of Punjab chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif was held in Lahore.
The meeting increased penalties and punishments for illegal weapons and kite flying.
The cabinet accorded approval to the MDCAT policy for public and private sector medical and dental colleges and the establishment of Punjab’s first life insurance company.
It was decided by the Cabinet housing loans amounting fifteen lac rupees will be granted with a monthly installment of14,000 rupees over nine years.
The meeting approved the distribution of 9,500 tractors under the Green Tractor Program in Punjab whereas; total 30,000 tractors will be provided to farmers.
The cabinet approved the Chief Minister’s Children’s Heart Surgery Program.
The Chief Minister directed that the pending 12,000 heart surgeries for children be completed as soon as possible.
