Lahore: Punjab government on Wednesday announced to hold local body election in the province from May 15.
Local body minister Mian Mahmood Rasheed has said that the provincial government has enacted a special plan for giving final phase of arrangements for local body elections.
He said that the local body elections is going to be held on May 15.
Mian Abdul Rasheed said that we are trying to give powerful system of local government under the new local government.
He said that previously no any government allowed working of local body system adding that the local government system had deprived of power.
He said that MPAs and MNAs are doing such work which is a work of local body system while these people some time chase funds and some time chase contractors.
He said that our actual work is to solve people problems and legislation.
