LAHORE: The Punjab government has decide to impose a complete ban over the use of plastic bag in the province.
Senior Minister of Punjab, Maryam Aurangzeb has announced that from June 30 there will be a complete ban on the use of Plastic bag in Punjab.
Maryam Aurangzeb mad this announcement while presiding over a meeting regarding the elimination of smog, she stated that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has set a target with June 30th as the deadline to reduce waste, improve the air quality and increased a forestation.
The senior provincial minister said that obtaining a fitness certificate will be mandatory for all vehicles and annual inspection will be conducted for all vehicles, all government building will be shifted to solar energy. According to Maryam Aurangzeb, incentives and encouragement will be provided for the preparation of solar panels at the local level, complete mapping and zoning of the industry will be done and by June 30th 20,000 trees will be planted along the roadsides in Lahore
