Lahore: Punjab government on Tuesday imposed article 144 across the province for hiatus of 7-day.
The home ministry has issued notification in this regard while under the initiavtive congregations, rallies, sit-ins and protests are banned in the province.
The provincial government has taken the measure in the wake Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) “jail bharo terhreek” (fill jails movement).
On the other hand the step is also taken for security fears and to ensure security for the on going Pakistan Super League (PSL) 8the edition.
