Lahore: Punjab government has imposed Section 144 in the province from Saturday till Monday.
According to the notification section 144 will be imposed from November 23 to 25.
As per the notification of Punjab Home Department, all types of protests, rallies, processions, sit-ins and similar activities have been banned in the province.
The decision is taken to maintain law and order and to protect human lives and property.
The notification further reads “there are security threats, any public gathering can be soft target for the terrorists.”
Miscreants in collusion of public congregation through anti-state activities can achieve heinous purposes, the notifications.
