LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz launched the “Dhee Rani Program” in Lahore today.
The program is aimed at enabling the poor parents to fulfill their obligation of wedding of their daughters in a dignified manner.
On this occasion, addressing the ceremony of mass marriages, the Chief Minister extended her wishes to all the newly married couples.
Punjab Government has allocated one billion rupees for the “Dhee Rani Program” and in first phase three thousand wedding ceremonies will be conducted.
Earlier, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif also inaugurated the “Dhee Rani Card” through which newly married couples will get one hundred thousand rupees each
