LAHORE: The Punjab government has passed the “Punjab Public Representatives Laws PPRL (Amendment) Bill 2025,”
As per detail, Punjab Assembly passed PPRL amendment bill 2025, after passing this bill, the allowances for ministers , speaker, and deputy speaker raise to match their full monthly salaries.
Ministers will now receive Rs 960,000 instead of Rs 74,000 during leave, The Speaker’s leave allowance rised from Rs 37,000 to Rs 950,000, and the Deputy Speaker’s from Rs 37,000 to Rs 775,000, These changes follow a 10x increase in salaries, sparking criticism over rising privileges for public officials amid ongoing financial struggles for ordinary citizens.
