LAHORE: Punjab Government, in a meeting on Thursday, approved compensation to families of contract employees in case of death of the individual during the employment period.
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar chaired a meeting session of the standing committee on finance and development.
“Families of contract employees falling in between 1-4 scale will get financial aid of Rs1.6 million, employees of 5-10 scale will get Rs1.9 million, employees of 11-15 scale will get Rs2.2 million, employees of 18-19 scale will get Rs3.4 million”, concluded the committee.
Moreover, it was decided that in case of death of a contract employee of 20 grade and above, the family will be compensated with Rs 4 million.
Other than that, the meeting decided to include Managing Director (MD) of Mass Transit Authority, Digital media wing of DGPR, others deployed in various departments and Small Development Project of Health department in forthcoming annual development projects and other important projects.
In the meeting, approval on the issuance of funds to District Headquarter Hospital Chakwal was given.
