LAHORE: In a significant move towards digital land management, the Punjab government has launched a system allowing residents to access and download property records online via the PULSE project.
The Punjab Urban Land Systems Enhancement (PULSE) initiative represents a major step forward in modernizing urban land governance throughout the province. It aims to streamline land administration processes and increase transparency.
A key feature of the PULSE system is the integrated Unified Land Information System, which consolidates urban land data for easier public access and accountability. The platform employs Geographic Information System (GIS) technology to create detailed parcel maps that directly link to official land records. This helps clarify ownership details and reduces land-related disputes.
So far, the project has digitized over 151 million pages of land deeds, transforming traditional paper-based documentation. It has also collaborated with housing authorities to map more than 836 housing schemes, encompassing over 874,000 land parcels.
These advancements are designed to foster trust, improve registration procedures, increase operational efficiency, and reduce corruption in land dealings.
To access property records online, users can follow these steps:
- Visit the official PULSE portal.
- Select “RoD Archives/Records.”
- Provide required information such as city, tehsil, CNIC, buyer’s name, or registry number.
- Click on “Record ki Tafseelat” to view and download the relevant document.
This digital initiative aims to support planned urban growth, attract investment, and promote a fairer and more transparent land management system across Punjab
