Punjab minister Azma Bukhari’s daughter among CSS 2026 written exam qualifiers

LAHORE: Dr Wadiat Fatima, daughter of Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari, has cleared the written examination of the Central Superior Services (CSS) 2026, placing her among a small group of successful candidates in one of Pakistan’s most competitive examinations.

Her success drew congratulatory messages from political and social figures, relatives, friends and well-wishers. Social media users also praised her achievement and extended their best wishes for the next stages of the selection process.

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat congratulated Dr Wadiat Fatima on passing the written examination and commended the determination and hard work of all candidates who competed in the challenging exam.

He said Pakistan needed talented and dedicated young people and described clearing the CSS written examination as an important first step towards serving the country.

Azma Bukhari also thanked those who congratulated her daughter, attributing the achievement to her consistent hard work, commitment and determination.

CSS 2026 results

The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) received 24,321 applications for the CSS 2026 written examination, while 17,351 candidates appeared in one or more papers.

Only 476 candidates succeeded in clearing the written stage, resulting in an overall pass rate of 2.74%.

Among those who qualified, 239 were men and 237 were women.

Candidates who have cleared the written examination will now proceed to the remaining stages of the CSS selection process, including medical examination, psychological assessment and viva voce.

The FPSC conducts the CSS examination to select candidates for various occupational groups of Pakistan’s civil services.
