Punjab to allocate over Rs300 billion for urban development in 52 cities, says CM Maryam Nawaz

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced that more than 300 billion rupees will be invested in the development and renovation of infrastructure across fifty-two cities in the province through the Punjab Development Plan. The funding will cover the construction and repair of roads, parks, drainage systems, and sewerage networks.

During a meeting in Lahore focused on the Punjab Development Plan, she emphasized the importance of targeting areas most in need of urgent attention. She instructed officials to prioritize the revitalization of the most dilapidated and deteriorated neighborhoods.

Additionally, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of completing the drainage project ahead of the upcoming monsoon season to prevent flooding and related issues.
