Qadri Hails SC Disqualifying Verdict as Historic

Lahore (Aug 8, 2017): Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Tuesday said that Nawaz Sharif disqualification in Panama case was a revenge for the blood of Model town martyrs.

Addressing PAT workers and supporters gathered at Lahore Airport to welcome him, Qadri pledged that they would get justice for their martyred workers at any cost.

He added that every single drop of blood of Model Town victims would be avenged.

Qadri said that he would announce his future line of action at the public meeting at Nasir Bagh.

PAT chief hailed SC verdict disqualifying Nawaz Sharif as historic.

Regarding Nawaz Sharif’s rally on GT Road, he questioned as against whom Nawaz Sharif was taking to street.He added that PAT had also marched on GT Road but that was against the corrupt system. “If Nawaz Sharif has any courage he should tell against whom he is taking out rally and holding protest on GT Road,” he added.

Qadri said if Nawaz did not tell the name then it would be assumed he was protesting against the state.

PAT chief demanded complete implementation of Article 62 of the constitution to purge the country of what he said ‘political filth’.Earlier, Qadri reached Lahore in a private airline flight from Doha, Qatar.

A large number of PAT workers and supporters gathered at the airport to welcome him.

Strict security arrangements were made on the occasion.  PAT chief will go to Nasir Bagh leading a rally of workers and supporters. At Nasir Bagh he will address a public meeting.Following the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif as prime minister, Qadri had announced to suspend all his oversees engagements and return to the country to lead an anti-government movement.

When the PML-N announced Shahbaz Sharif will succeed Nawaz as Prime Minister, the PAT chief had announced to launch “Go Shahbaz Go” movement.
