ISLAMABAD: Qatar Naval Chief Commander Qatar Emiri Naval Forces Staff Maj Gen (Sea) Abdullah Bin Hassan Al-Sulaiti on Monday called on Pakistan counterpart Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbassi here in naval headquarters.
On arrival at Pakistan naval headquarter Naval Chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbassi welcomed the guest from Qatar.
The meeting between the two naval chiefs of brother countries discussed naval joint adventure and maritime security of the region.
Pakistan Naval chief highlighted Pakistan’s efforts for establishing peace in field of maritime security and at sea level while naval chief also thanked the Qatari guest over his country forces participation in multi country peace drills.
Earlier, President Dr. Arif Alvi conferred Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military) upon Commander Qatar Emiri Naval Forces Staff Maj Gen (Sea) Abdullah Bin Hassan Al-Sulaiti in a special investiture ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad today.
Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi and senior officers were also present in the ceremony.
