QUETTA: Initiating operation against defaulters the Quetta Electric Supply Company has issued notices to over 100,000 government and commercial defaulters who owe Rs 162 billion.
According to QESCO spokesmanhas decided to severe power connections of all the defaulters without any discrimination on the special directive of federal Ministry of Water and Power and has also taken up the recovery of dues from all the government institutions with the provincial authorities.
According to the spokesman Public Health Engineering owes Rs 2.48 billion; Health Department owes Rs 450 million; Balochistan Police owes Rs 21 million; Education Department owes Rs 900 million; Agriculture Department Rs 46.5 million; Irrigation Rs 29.7 million; NADRA rs 9 million; Post Office Rs 51.9 million; NLC Rs 50 million; PTCL Rs 74.5 million, and Central Excise Land Custom pwes Rs 20 millionin power dues.
