QUETTA: More than 100 police cadets and security personnel were injured in the attack on police training center in Quetta.
Three cadets among four police personnel martyred and three terrorist were killed in the operation so far. Army has taken command of the operation against the terrorists in the police training center. Southern Command Commander Lieutenant General Amir Riaz has arrived at the police training center.
According to the details, five to six terrorists stormed on Police Training Center, Saryab road in Quetta. As the terrorists entered in the training center, they started indiscriminate firing that led to retaliation by police. Three blasts have been listen in the training center so far.
Balochistan Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti said that he was personally monitoring the situation.
Provincial Secretary Health Noorul Haq said that emergency had been declared in the hospitals and doctors’ vacations were cancelled.
Sources said that about 700 police cadets were present in the training center. The terrorists stormed the police training center at 9:46 pm.
Two terrorists blew themselves up in the operation and about 100 police cadets were rescued. Sources said that one active terrorist still resisting in the training center. Three army helicopters were monitoring and assisting the ground forces.
Security forces cleared 80 percent area of the police training center.
