Rafale ‘proved zero’ in operation Banyan-um-Marsus, PAF chief

ISLAMABAD: Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu stated on Tuesday that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) had successfully triumphed in Operation Banyan-um-Marsus. He emphasized that Indian Rafale jets were rendered ineffective during the confrontations that took place in May.

These remarks were made during the graduation parade at the PAF Asghar Khan Academy in Risalpur.

The graduation parade was marked by a splendid display of aerial prowess as PAF fighter aircraft and the Sherdil Aerobatics Team executed an impressive flypast, earning widespread appreciation from attendees. Air Chief Marshal Sidhu, as chief guest, witnessed and applauded the ceremony.

Speaking to the graduating officers, the Air Chief highlighted how the PAF had delivered a calculated and decisive response when Pakistan’s sovereignty faced threats on the nights of May 6 and 7.

He stated that PAF fighter jets successfully brought down advanced enemy aircraft, including Rafales, and on May 10, neutralized key elements of the adversary’s defense systems, establishing operational supremacy within a short span of time.

He elaborated that the PAF’s real-time monitoring capabilities allowed them to track enemy activities instantly, showcasing their state of readiness and operational efficiency.

Operation Banyan-um-Marsus, he explained, underscored the PAF’s ability to execute multi-dimensional modern warfare, incorporating not just air combat but also cyber operations. He emphasized that the operation demonstrated Pakistan’s air power dominance both in the skies and in cyberspace, where missions were carried out swiftly and with precision.

Paying tribute to Field Marshal Asim Munir for his leadership during the conflict, he called attention to the enduring role of the Air Force as a staunch shield for Pakistan’s sovereignty in every era. He further noted how the integration of advanced technologies in record time had substantially enhanced PAF’s operational strength and preparedness.

He also mentioned that military experts worldwide had acknowledged Pakistan’s aerial achievements during what he referred to as a “battle of truth.” An international study is currently underway to evaluate PAF’s strategies and successes during these May engagements.

He concluded by emphasizing that the global recognition of Pakistan’s accomplishments in modern warfare underscored the significance of well-trained personnel. He lauded the graduating officers, stating that their dedication and passion remain the PAF’s greatest assets.
