Rain Disrupts Routine Life in Sukkur

SUKKUR: Twenty people, including seven women, were injured in various accidents due to torrential rains in Sukkur and around the city.

The torrential rains in and around Sukkur have disrupted life in the city. Due to heavy rains, roofs were blown off in different areas and walls collapsed, while power poles and trees were uprooted in Rohri. The management and patients of the taluka hospital Rohri are facing problems due to power outage.

Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah paid an emergency visit to Sukkur and directed all the officers including Deputy Commissioner, Administrator and Municipal Commissioner to immediately draw water from the low lying areas.

Provincial Minister for Local Government Nasir Hussain Shah said that all necessary steps should be taken to extract water. All staff were on duty
