Rain lashes Lahore, turns weather pleasant  

LAHORE:  Heavy rain lashed out Lahore gusty winds hit the city throughout the night leading to tripping of over 100 LESCO feeders.

Strong gusty winds hit the provincial metropolis last night which caused outages in many area of the city, as 100 feeders of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO). The strong and gusty winds uprooted trees and brought down billboards and hoardings in the city.

Several trees were uprooted on Canal Road because of strong winds, according to a spokesperson for Rescue 1122. A 32-year-old man, who had gone out to get medicine, was killed after a tree fell on him in Shahdara area.

In the morning, heavy rain lashed the city turning the weather pleasant.

Similarly, power supply was suspended in Shadman area, when a tree fell on a transformer.

Met office said that weather will remain cloudy in the metropolis for the next two days which chances of rains coupled with strong winds.

Meanwhile, Faisalabad also received light rains which turned weather pleasant.
