Rain wreaks havoc in Balochistan, 4 killed

QUETTA: At least four people including a child were killed and several were injured in rain-related incidents due to heavy rains on Sunday.

The entire city roads and streets were inundated as flash flood coming from mountains surrounding Quetta valley entered houses, markets, shops, hospitals, government and private buildings.

According to details, several houses have been destroyed in parts of Balochistan province due to heavy rains and it took four lives including a minor girl.

Railway track has also been flooded which disconnected the Pak-Iran railway service as well.

The provincial government has imposed emergency within the hospitals of the province.

The local administration is helpless in rescuing people stranded in flooded areas and sought help from Pakistan Army to carry on the rescue operation in the province.

Pakistan army along with Levies and FC has started rescue operation in the province.

A day earlier, heavy snowfalls in Ziarat broke 15 years record that disconnected city’s land routes from the rest of the country.

According to details, Ziarat roads are covered with snow due to which all the land ties have been disconnected from the rest of the country.

Due to heavy snowfalls, people were stranded at homes.
