ISLAMABAD: TikTok star Nadeem Mubarak Naniwala and YouTuber Rajab Butt, who have been named in multiple cases have approached the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to seek the removal of their names from the travel ban list.

Petitions have been submitted by legal representatives Barrister Qadeer Janjua and Ahad Khokhar, listing the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), the interior secretary, and other relevant authorities as respondents.

The petitioners urge the court to instruct the concerned departments to expunge their names from the travel restriction list.

Over the past few years, Rajab Butt has been implicated in several cases. In September 2025, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) accused him of promoting unauthorized online gambling platforms such as Binomo, 1xBet, Bet365, and B9 Game through social media. The FIR alleged these platforms misled users and provided links to promotional videos.

Earlier, in March 2025, another case was filed against Butt under blasphemy laws and the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) after his perfume brand “295” sparked outrage for purported religious insensitivity.

In December 2024, Butt was arrested for illegally keeping a lion cub at his residence along with possessing unlicensed firearms. He later admitted to owning the undocumented wild animal, claiming it had been gifted to him during his wedding.

Nadeem has also encountered legal troubles, facing a gambling-related case initiated by the NCCIA and being arrested in September 2025 for allegedly using fraudulent vehicle registration documents.
