Mumbai:Veteran actor Rajiv Kapoor breathed his last in Mumbai. He was 58. The late actor’s last rites were performed at Chembur crematorium in Mumbai and the Kapoor family bid adieu to yet another member of their home.
Members of the Kapoor family were snapped in Mumbai today, after Rajiv Kapoor’s funeral. The last rites of the actor were performed in evening, with Ranbir lending a shoulder to his uncle’s mortal remains. Aadar Jain and other family members were also present at the funeral.
A number of Bollywood celebrities had gathered at Rajiv Kapoor’s Chembur home earlier today. Family members including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Aadar Jain, and Armaan Jain among others reached Rajiv Kapoor’s home to pay their last respecs. Ranbir’s girlfriend Alia Bhatt and Aadar’s girlfriend Tara Sutaria also arrived and paid their last respects to the actor.
Rajiv Kapoor’s industry friends including Shah Rukh Khan, Chunky Panday, Ashutosh Gowariker, and Sonali Bendre among others were also snapped at his Chembur home.

As soon as news of Rajiv Kapoor’s death surfaced on social media, tributes started pouring in. Tusshar Kapoor took to Twitter to share his condolences. His tweet read, “Sad to hear of the passing away of Rajiv Kapoor! Deepest condolences to the family! May his soul rest in peace (sic).”
Akshay Kumar wrote, “Saddened to hear about the untimely demise of #RajivKapoor ji. My deepest condolences to the entire family.”
