Reduction of Rs 8.50 per litre on petrol products likely from April 16

Islamabad: It is likely that a substantial decrease in petroleum products prices of Rs 8.50 per litre will be given to masses owing to slashing to crude oil prices in the international market.

In this regard, the Oil Industry has worked out on the plan and sent to Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

It is expected that petrol prices will be cut by Rs 8.50 from April 16.

On the other hand High Speed Diesel (HSD) will be slashed by Rs 6.96. Whereas light diesel prices can be reduced by Rs 7. 21 and Kerosene oil Rs 7. 47.

The OGRA will send final suggestions to the government on April 15. The ministry of finance will issue a notification afterwards with the consultation with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
