ISLAMABAD: Opposition’s Rehber committee has given go ahead on Saturday for the appointment of Senate Chairman to PML-N, the majority party in the upper house.
According to sources, after the approval by the Rehber committee, the PML-N has started contemplating the names of Musaddaq Malik and Raka Zafarul Haq as new chairman Senate.
Sources also confirmed that after getting the chairman Senate slot PML-N will withdraw from opposition leader in national assembly slot.
Meantime, sources said, Rehber committee is also contacting with the opposition leader in Senate over the issue as N-League soon hand over the two names to the committee for chairman Senate seat.
The PPP deputy chairman Senate Saleem Mandiwala will continue work on his slot.
