Lahore: Renown barrister S M Zafar passed away on Thursday in Lahore in the age of 92 years. He died due to prolong illness.
He was father of Barrister Ali Zafar, S M Zafar was considered among major barrister of the country.
He was also remained the central minister of law and parliamentary affairs in the Ayub Khan cabinet.
S M Zafar was born in Burma on December 6 1930.
While he remained a member of senate from 2003 to 2012.He was Pakistan’s minister of law during the Pakistan India war in 1965.
He started his practice as a lawyer in 1950 while he received the degree of law from the University of Law College.
He had penned a famous book “Dialouge in political chess board”.
He was also the son in Law of musical figure Malka Pukhraj. His wife is a sister of famous singer Tahira Syed.
