Renowned Pakistani Writer Muhammad Kamal Pasha Passes Away

LAHORE: Prominent writer of the Pakistani film industry, Muhammad Kamal Pasha, has passed away.

According to his family, Muhammad Kamal Pasha had been ill for a long time and was undergoing treatment at a hospital.

Muhammad Kamal Pasha wrote over 300 films during his career in the Pakistani film industry.

He was the son of one of Pakistan’s pioneer film directors and producers, Anwar Kamal Pasha, and the grandson of the renowned Urdu writer and poet, Hakim Ahmad Shuja.

Muhammad Kamal Pasha had appealed for assistance from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. On her behalf, Punjab Information Secretary Syed Tahir Raza Hamdani visited the writer in the hospital, presented him with a goodwill cheque of Rs. 500,000 and a bouquet.
