PESHAWAR: PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar denied media claims about the removal of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, calling them fabricated and a deliberate attempt to divide the party.
Ali Amin Gandapur remains our Chief Minister. The rumors about his removal are baseless. Every bid to split the party will meet a firm, effective rebuttal.
We categorically oppose efforts to weaken the party through false news, declared PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar.
On the other hand, denying the news, Provincial Minister Sohail Afridi has said in his statement that no decision has been taken to change the Chief Minister at the level of the provincial government.
According to Sohail Afridi, the news of him being named as the new chief minister in place of Ali Amin Gandapur is false and fabricated.
“All the reports attributed to me are false, baseless and contrary to facts.” All claims regarding the change of Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are false and misleading. Ali Amin Gandapur is a trusted and loyal associate of Imran Khan and he will remain the Chief Minister.
