Islamabad: Justice Aijaz Ul Ahsan has said that he is resigning from his post under article 206 of the constitution.
He said ” I am tendering resignation immediately and don’t want work as a Judge of the Supreme Court (SC) any more.”
Justice Aijaz Ul Ahsan said that it is honor for him for performing duties as a Judge in high court and the Supreme Court.
He didn’t mention reason of his resignation.
Earlier, another judge of the Supreme Court, Justice Aijaz Ul Ahsan tendered his resignation.
Justice Aijaz Ul Ahsan has sent his resignation to the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi.
Justice Ahsan are going to be Chief justice of Pakistan after completion of tenure of Justice Qazi Faez Isa in October this year.
Yesterday, Justice Mazahar Ali Naqvi had tendered his resignation which was later accepted by the President of Pakistan.
Justice Aijaz Ul Ahsan has opposed action against Justice Mazahar Ali Naqvi in the Supreme Judicial Council two days ago.
He also didn’t attend the today’s meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council.
