Lahore: The opposition parties in Punjab Assembly (PA) on Wednesday (today) submitted a resolution seeking Prime Minister Imran Khan resignation over Transparency international (TI) report which revealed that the corruption has increased in Pakistan.
Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) member of PA Sumera Komal presented the resolution in assembly..
The draft of the resolution read that the Transparency international report is a charge sheet against the incumbent government.
The PTI government has established record of corruption in the country and Pakistan included in the most corrupt country of the world.
The resolution also said that Pakistan also jumped to third position regarding corruption. As per the TI the existing government is the most corrupt government and Prime Minister Imran Khan responsible for increasing corruption in the country.
The resolution demanded the PM to resign from his post immediately.
It is pertinent to mention that the TI has issued 180 countries perception index and Pakistan jumped to 16 grade up in the corruption ranking.
As per the TI Pakistan has reached 140 position out of 180 while lowering of perception index reflects increase in corruption.
Pakistan score was 28 in 2021, 31 in 2020, 32 in 2019 while in the three-year rule of PTI Pakistan degraded four points.
