ISLAMABAD: The process of repatriating undocumented Afghan migrants from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is ongoing vigorously.
According to the Ministry of Interior, yesterday, 606 illegal Afghan nationals were deported to Afghanistan via the Torkham border crossing.
Additionally, 243 Afghan citizens holding valid cards were also sent back to their homeland through the border.
Furthermore, 10 Afghan nationals were deported from the Angoor Adda border crossing to Afghanistan. Since September 2023, a total of 549,932 Afghan citizens have been repatriated so far.
This campaign is part of the government’s efforts against illegal migrants to ensure compliance with national laws, facilitate the return of those residing illegally within the country, and safeguard border security.
