Quetta: Balochistan government spokesman Shahid Rind on Saturday (today) said that the government is particularly concerned about speeches made by the party’s leadership during the march and indicated that legal measures will be pursued.
During a presser today, the provincial government spokesman Shahid Rind hinted at potential action against the Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) long march.
The government spokesman stated that “some elements are determined to hold the Red Zone hostage.”
He noted that the government has demonstrated patience thus far and has engaged in negotiations with march participants on two occasions.
They were permitted to proceed to Shahwani Stadium on Sariab Road, the participants have not complied, he apprised.
Rind expressed hope for a resolution through dialogue, however, he warned that the government has alternative options if the marchers remain obstinate.
The spokesperson emphasised that certain elements of the BNP-M are intent on taking over the Red Zone, but the government will not allow this.
Currently, Section 144 is enforced in the province, and any violations will be addressed legally.
