Rishi Kapoor’s ‘Mulk’ Banned in Pakistan

Web Desk (August 03, 2018): Rishi Kapoor-Taapsee Pannu starrer Bollywood film ‘Mulk’ has been banned to release in Pakistan.

Pakistan Censor Board has banned Anubhav Sinha’s directed ‘Mulk’ to release in cinemas all across Pakistan. Film features veteran actor Rishi Kapoor and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles. Film has been released worldwide, including India today.

Film’s producer Deepal Mukut said in a statement, ‘We are disturbed by this prejudiced verdict and it’s such an irony because our film talks about this very prejudice. We urge the Pakistani Censor Board to reconsider their decision’.

On the other hand, director Anubhav Sinha addressed to Pakistani fans on his Twitter with a message.

He further urged fans that, I really wanted you all to see this film legally, but do watch it illegally if you must, though our digital team at home is working hard to stop all piracy.

Taapsee Pannu is playing the role of a lawyer in ‘Mulk’, who will be fighting to reclaim lost honor of accused Rishi Kapoor, and is adamant that he is being targeted because of his religion.
