WEB DESK: Romaisa Khan is drawing attention for her performance as Hamna in the Pakistani drama *Dar-e-Nijat*. Viewers have praised her for conveying the character’s vulnerability and emotional distress.
One social media user said Hamna’s situation left them feeling deeply sympathetic, contrasting her experience with Zaryab, who escaped a relationship with Zaamil before marriage. The post also reflected on how a respectable, religious public image can conceal troubling behaviour in a relationship.
Khan began her career as a social media creator, gaining popularity for humorous videos on TikTok and Instagram before moving into acting. She made her television debut in *Masters* in 2020 and has since appeared in dramas including *Paristan*, *Chand Tara* and *Hadsa*. Her film debut was in *John* (2023).
The daughter of late comedian and stage performer Tanveer Akhtar Khan, Khan has continued to take on varied roles as her acting career develops.
