WEB DESK: Romania’s Air Chief, Lieutenant General Leonard Gabriel Baraboi, lauded the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) for its remarkable achievements in countering Indian aggression during a meeting with the Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu.
Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu met with Lieutenant General Leonard Gabriel Baraboi as part of his landmark state visit to Romania. The discussions focused on deepening bilateral defence ties and identifying avenues for enhanced collaboration between the two Air Forces.
Upon his arrival at the Romanian Air Headquarters, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu was greeted with a Guard of Honour by a contingent of the Romanian Air Force.
Subsequently, both air chiefs engaged in extensive talks centered on bolstering operational cooperation, including joint air exercises, exchange programs, and training initiatives for both air and ground personnel.
Lieutenant General Leonard Gabriel Baraboi praised the PAF’s professionalism, particularly highlighting its recent accomplishments against Indian aggression. He also acknowledged the advancements achieved through self-reliance initiatives under the visionary leadership of the PAF Chief.
The two leaders agreed on establishing robust institutional frameworks to ensure sustained collaboration in addressing shared air defence challenges. Discussions also encompassed expanding bilateral partnerships and exploring new opportunities in advanced aerospace technologies to enhance the existing defence industrial cooperation.
