The National Assembly session turned into fish market after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League MNAs resorted to sloganeering and counter-sloganeering after Speaker National did not allow opposition table privilege motion over Panamagate issue.
After Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah spoke on a point of order, the Speaker gave floor to Federal Minister for Railway Khwaja Saad Rafiq.
The PTI members stood up and demanded that PTI Parliamentary Leader be given opportunity to speak and resorted to sloganeering.
During his speech, Saad Rafiqu said that PTI members were the group of indecent people which prompted the PTI lawmakers to stand from their seats and protest.
They raised slogans on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and ruling party. The PML-N members also raised slogans against PTI chairman Imran Khan.
PTI members surrounded the speaker’ dice and torn off the copies of the parliament agenda and did not allow Saad Rafique more speech and chanted slogans continuously. Speaker did not allow PTI members to speak saying that after opposition leader speech it was the ruling party privilege to speak.
Speaker Ayaz Sadiq rejecting PTI’s adjournment motion said the Panamagate case is in supreme court therefore he could not allow to presenting the motion.
Meanwhile Speaker Ayaz Sadiq announced the 15-minute break to handle the situation.
