Rupee Continues To Decline Against US Dollar

Karachi: The Pakistani rupee has hit another record low in the interbank market for the fifth consecutive trading session this week.

The local currency depreciated 0.28% on Friday, according to the data shared by the State Bank of Pakistan. It plunged by 40 paisas and settled at Rs180.57.

Over the week, the value of the rupee slumped by Rs1.96. Since the start of the current fiscal year, the rupee has decreased by Rs22.93.

Meanwhile, in the open market, the dollar increased by 50 paisas and currently it is being traded at Rs181. Here are the open market rates of major currencies on March 18, 2022
