JOHANNESBURG: South Africa crushed Pakistan by six wickets in the second T20 International of four match series to level series 1-1 in Johannesburg on Monday.
South Africa chased down the 141-run target set by Pakistan in the 14th over, with the help of relentless hitting by opener Aiden Markram (54) and captain Heinrich Klaasen (36*). Usman Qadir put up the only noteworthy bowling performance from Pakistan with two wickets in three overs.
Playing first, Pakistan managed to score just 140 runs for the loss of nine wickets. South Africa s right-arm off spinner George Linde ran through Pakistan s top order picking up three wickets in his four overs. However, Babar Azam (50) and Muhammad Hafeez (32) showed some fight against the South African attack.
