Web Desk: Actress Sabeena Farooq has expressed her anger and frustration following the tragic rape and murder of seven-year-old Sarim, urging the Sindh government to take immediate action against those responsible.
Sarim was kidnapped on January 7 and found dead eleven days later in a water tank near his home. Reports confirm that he was sexually assaulted before being killed, sparking widespread public outrage.
Sharing a news post about the incident, Sabeena took to social media to demand justice. “I request the Sindh government to investigate and punish the culprits behind this because enough of this already,” she wrote.
“The kid was only 7,” she added, emphasizing the brutality of the crime. She also encouraged her followers to spread awareness and put pressure on authorities to take action.
Karachi has witnessed a surge in child abductions, with at least five reported cases in January. Among them, 15-year-old Zahra Batool went missing from Gulshan-e-Iqbal, while 10-year-old Ayan disappeared from Orangi Town. Additionally, 5-year-old Aliyan and 6-year-old Ali Raza remain missing after vanishing from Garden West.
The police have intensified their investigations, but the families of the missing children continue to seek justice.
