Karachi: In an unfortunate incident fire erupted at Karachi mobile market in Sadar owing to which several shops were burnt to ashes claiming a loss of hundred and thousands of rupees.
According to the fire brigade official the fire extended to first storey of the building due to which many shops were gutted while some cabins existing in the streets of the market also came under fire.
The brigade officials apprised that the fire which came the building into its fold at late night were doused with the help of more than five fire tenders.
Moreover, chairman Electronics Dealers Association Minhaj Gulfam informed that the the fire erupted at Shahjahan market, Bismillah market and adjacent markets while he apprised that still the reason of fire could not be ascertained.
According to the Minhaj Gulfam the fire spread in the market owing to thin streets owing to which ten thousands of rupees lost.
On the other hand, the fire extinguisher officer apprised that estimation of shops damaged during the fire will be premature, because, the shopkeepers were not allowing opening of shops to extinguish the fire.
