Islamabad: No consensus has been developed between Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Opposition leader Raja Riyaz today.
The first meeting between Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif with the opposition leader Raja Riyaz ended at the PM house without any progress.
Both the duo will take another sitting tomorrow on Friday to finalize the name of care taker premier.
On the other hand, name of Chairman Senate Saddiq Sanjrani has surfaced for the care taker Prime Minister as well. Chairman Senate Saddiq Sanjrani is sixth contender of the care taker premier slot.
The other contenders are former judge Tassaduq Hussain Jillani, former finance minister Dr Hafeez Sheikh, former ambassador to the US Jalil Abbass Jilani , Aslam Bhothani, Kamran Tessori and Ishrat Ul Ebad.
Talking to media after the meeting with the premier, Raja Riyaz said that we held first consultative meeting and he gave names for his side to the premier Shahbaz Sharif.
Raja Riyaz, the opposition leader of out going National Assembly, said that Prime Minister also apprised names of three contenders.
He apprised that he has requested the PM consider the names until tomorrow adding that we have decided that there should be another sitting that will be held tomorrow.
Raja Riyaz said ” I have to consult today and he (PM) has to consult as well today.” While he expressed hope that the name for care taker premier will be finalized tomorrow.
