ISLAMABAD: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released its latest Women’s T20 Player Rankings, with Pakistan’s Sadia Iqbal making headlines by seizing the top spot in the bowling category.
Sadia Iqbal has surpassed England’s Sophie Ecclestone to become the No 1 ranked T20I bowler in the world. With an impressive performance, she improved her ranking by one position and now holds the first spot with 746 points.Meanwhile, Sophie Ecclestone dropped three places, landing in the fourth position. India’s Deepti Sharma moved up one rank to claim the second spot, while Australia’s Annabel Sutherland climbed into third.
Another Pakistani bowler, Nashra Sandhu, maintained her position at No. 8 in the T20I bowling rankings, continuing to solidify Pakistan’s presence in the global bowling arena.However, in the Women’s T20 batting rankings, no Pakistani batter features in the top ten. Australia’s Beth Mooney continues to dominate the list at the top, while West Indies’ Hayley Matthews improved by two spots to reach the second position.
In the all-rounders’ category, Hayley Matthews retained her No. 1 ranking.
