LAHORE: Pakistani cricketers have achieved notable advancements in the latest ICC Player Rankings, showcasing significant progress across both T20 and ODI formats.
The ICC announced the updated rankings on Wednesday, featuring remarkable improvements for players like Saim Ayub, Mohammad Nawaz, Abrar Ahmed, among others.
Saim Ayub has reclaimed the top spot as the No. 1 all-rounder in T20 Internationals, underlining his swift ascent in global cricket. His consistent displays have kept him ahead of competitors in the all-rounder category.
Mohammad Nawaz achieved dual progress this week, moving up three places to claim the 4th position among T20 all-rounders and climbing two spots to secure the 11th position in the T20 bowlers’ rankings.
Leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed registered one of the most significant jumps, leaping four places to take 4th position in the T20I bowlers’ rankings. Meanwhile, he continues to hold 9th place in the ODI bowlers’ rankings, cementing his reputation as an elite spinner on the international stage.
In ODIs, Babar Azam has maintained his 6th position among batsmen, while India’s Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli occupy first and fourth positions, respectively.
These steady performances underline Pakistan’s ongoing impact among the world’s best white-ball cricket teams.
