LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Friday ordered s indiscriminate action against those involved in production/sale of spurious drugs.
He said that the ongoing crack down would continue against elements involved in producing and selling spurious medicines.
Addressing a ceremony regarding distribution of cheques and certificates among those officers who carried out successful operation against persons involved in business of spurious medicines in Lahore on Saturday, Shahbaz warned those involved in the business, saying that the factories producing spurious drugs were slaughter houses and this business would not be allowed to continue anymore.
He said that those playing with human lives would be dealt with iron fist. He said that the government was brining a Bill in Punjab Assembly against the spurious drugs.
The Chief Minister said he would go to any extent against the producers and sellers of spurious medicines and no leniency would be shown against such elements. He stressed for collective efforts to eliminate this evil from the society
