Lahore: Punjab Assembly witnessed presentation of the budget for fiscal year 2024-2025.
The Punjab government presented budget of an outlay of Rs 5446 billion.
Punjab Finance Minister Mujtaba Shauja Ur Rehman presented the budget in the Punjab Assembly.
Provincial Minister apprised that the budget is a tax free budget and all sections of the society has been taken care of in the budget.
The saliet features of the Punjab budget are as follows.
Easy loans for construction of houses on five marla plots.
Free provision of solar system for those who use electricity up to 100 units.
A huge sum of Rs 6 billion allocated to laptop schemes.
A whopping sum of Rs 75 billion for Kisan cards has been earmarked.
A labour minimum wage has set at Rs 37,000.
Increase in government employees salaries by 25 percent.
Retired employees pension has also been hiked by 15 percent.
