WEB DESK: Like Salman Khan’s previous films, he will be seen romancing a much younger actress Rashmika Mandana in his upcoming film too.
Salman Khan’s upcoming project will feature him alongside a younger actress, continuing the trend of age-gap romance that has become a hallmark of his cinematic repertoire.
At the press meet, Salman Khan addressed the buzz around this age gap in his inimitable style on releasing of his upcoming movie trailer “Sikandar.”
He said, “there is a 31-year difference between the heroine and me. If the heroine doesn’t have any problem or the heroine’s father doesn’t have any problem, then why do you have a problem?”
Salman Khan’s punchline made the press burst into laughter.
Salman Khan didn’t stop there. “And when Rashmika will get married and have a daughter and then she becomes a big star then also we will work (together). We will get the mother (Rashmika)’s permission for sure,” Salman Khan said at the event.
Salman praising Rashmika’s dedication, he said, at the event that she reminded him of his “younger self.”
“She has given her best. She used to finish shooting of Pushpa 2 at 7 pm and would join us at 9 pm, and would work till 6.30 in the morning and go back to work on Pushpa 2. Then after breaking her leg, she continued shooting with us, and didn’t cancel a single day of shoot. She reminds me a lot of younger me,” Salman Khan said about co-star Rashmika.
Salman has appeared on-screen with younger actresses several times before, his on-screen romances have often featured significant age gaps.
In 2023 he was seen with Pooja Hedge in “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jan”. This collaboration highlights amazing on-screen chemistry with an age gap of 25 years.
After that Salman was starred with Disha Patani two times they both have 27 years of age gape.
He also got captivating with Anushka Sharma in 2016 and in 2018 too.
In 2010 Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha shared the screen in the blockbuster film “Dabangg,” despite a significant age difference of 23 years. Their on-screen chemistry and engaging performances garnered critical acclaim and contributed to the film’s massive success.
Sikandar will release on March 30 on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr.
