ISLAMABAD: Famous TikToker Samiya Hijab drops her case against Hassan Zahid after settlement, Islamabad court approves bail for the suspect on surety bonds of Rs 20,000 per case

In a recent development at the Islamabad District and Sessions Court, bail was granted to Hassan Zahid after Samiya Hijab, a prominent social media personality, decided to withdraw the cases against him.

During the proceedings, Hijab informed the court that she and the accused had resolved their issues privately and she no longer wished to pursue the case. She stated that she had no objections if the court granted bail or acquitted Zahid.

Subsequently, the court approved Hassan Zahid’s bail with surety bonds of Rs 20,000 for each case. Earlier this month, Hijab had accused Zahid — with whom she was reportedly in a relationship of harassing her over several months, including threats and demands for marriage.

In a video shared on Instagram, where she has nearly 850,000 followers, Hijab claimed that Zahid had appeared outside her home, snatched her phone, and attempted to force her into his vehicle. She explained, “My mother was unwell, and my brother was not at home. When I stepped outside, he took my phone, got into his car, and tried to force me inside.”

Following her withdrawal from the case, reports circulated on social media suggesting that Hijab and Zahid had reached an out-of-court settlement after she missed the hearing scheduled for September 13.
