Sarfraz Baghati confirmed as the 8th chief of the Baghati tribe

QUETTA: In a significant development, Mir Sarfraz Baghati, the Chief Minister of Balochistan, has been formally designated as the eighth chief of the Baghati tribe.

The decision was made with the unanimous consent of all tribal leaders and elders of the Baghati community. The official induction ceremony took place at Sarfraz Baghati’s ancestral residence in Barkar, where he was officially crowned as the tribe’s leader. The event was attended by esteemed tribal elders, community dignitaries, and notable figures from the region.

During the ceremony, Nawabzada Zamran Salim Baghati placed the traditional turban on Sarfraz Baghati’s head, announcing him as the new chief. He expressed confidence that under Baghati’s leadership, the tribe would pursue unity, peace, and progress.

The elders publicly conveyed their full trust and support for Sarfraz Baghati’s leadership during the event.In his acceptance speech, Sarfraz Baghati expressed gratitude to the tribe for their confidence and vowed to serve the community with dedication. He highlighted that justice and collective consensus are his guiding principles and responsibilities.

He also called on those involved in armed conflict to surrender their weapons and reintegrate into society, assuring them that the state’s doors are open for reconciliation.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister emphasized that violence and the use of weapons cannot force one’s will, and restoring the authority of the state is crucial. Reaffirming his loyalty to Pakistan, he stated, “Our life and death are linked to Pakistan, and that bond will never break.”
