WEB DESK: Saudi Arabia has announced a new policy for Umrah visas, reducing the time frame for entry from three months to one month, as reported by Arab media on Friday.
This adjustment is part of the Kingdom’s efforts to simplify visa processes and better manage the flow of Umrah pilgrims.
Reports indicate that the new policy is expected to take effect next week, subject to formal approval by Saudi authorities.
Under this updated system, pilgrims must enter Saudi Arabia within one month of the visa issuance. If they fail to do so, their visa will be automatically canceled, according to Arab media.
Although the entry window has been shortened, the permitted duration of stay after entering the country remains unchanged. Pilgrims can still stay up to three months, allowing adequate time to perform their religious rituals and visit sacred sites in Makkah and Madinah.
While an official announcement on the exact implementation date is yet to be made, sources anticipate the new rules will come into force next week.
